View our live display of the fireplace inserts. Two main brands that we carry are Heat&Glo (gas fireplace inserts) and Quadra Fire (gas, wood, pellet inserts and free standing stoves). If you decide to, at this time you can schedule your measurement appointment, which will help you choose the right unit and will assess all necessary pre-installation conditions (such as whether you need for a chimney sweep, gas line installation, and/or electrical outlet installation). d. Get assistance in completing and submitting the paperwork to the Valley Air District for the “Burn Cleaner” program.
APPPROVAL FROM THE VALLEY AIR DISTRICT
This is the waiting period after the application has been submitted. The main condition of the approval is having a qualifying unit which is being determined by the experts at the district based on the photos you would have to provide. Approval may take from 2 to 5 weeks depending on their workload.
2nd VISIT. SELECTING YOUR UNIT
After you received your confirmation of approval you will need to visit the showroom again to order your unit. If this was not done earlier, at this time your measurement and assessment appointment has to be scheduled. Also a fully refundable deposit will be required at this time.
For standard income applicants the cost of unit and installation services has to be paid in full during placing an order. Receipt, photos of the installed unit and signed voucher need to be submitted to Valley Air District for reimbursement after installation of the unit. For low income applicants Central Distributing will cover the costs up to the voucher amount. Anything over the amount will have to be covered by the Client.
If you are installing a gas insert, before the day of the installation you need to make sure that: – You have a gas line in the fireplace box; – Electrical outlet in the box or within 3 feet of the opening; – Have a chimney sweep done; We do not provide those services in-house but we can give a referral. Our installer/service technician will assess your situation and give recommendations during measurement appointment. Any other needs like removal of the existing fireplace and/or cutting of the existing box will be also assed during measurement appointment.
Depending on the time of the season, waiting period between Step #3 Ordering your fireplace insert and Step #6 Installation, may take from 2 weeks during the off-season, to 3-4 weeks during the high season. So if you are getting ready for a family/friends gathering, please allow enough time. If all necessary preparations (as in Step #5) were completed, the installation itself will take approximately 1-2 hours.
After installation you will need to send your post installation photo, invoice and a signed voucher to the Valley Air District. Central Distributing can assist with processing this. It takes approximately 45 calendar days to receive your refund.
